Our U12 Girls Competitive team earned a 1-0 victory over Amity! ??
Maybelle delivered the game's lone goal in the first half giving the team the edge they needed. The team worked hard to create several scoring opportunities. Frances played hard defense and great passing in the middle. The defense held off a late charge by Amity, led by Currine who played center defense for the first time in her career. ?️?
A special shoutout to Sophie our goalkeeper, who came up with several key saves to preserve the shutout. ?⚽

![10/9/26 - U14 Boys Comp Team Coached by Britt Hafner and Manager Jamie.
The NHYS U14 Boys Comp team kicked off league play Friday night in Wallingford with a performance that showcased the determination and character of this young squad.
Facing adversity from the opening whistle, the team began the match with just nine players. Despite being shorthanded, the boys held Wallingford scoreless for the first six minutes before additional players arrived. Once at full strength, NHYS settled into the match, controlled the tempo, and entered halftime with an impressive 2-1 lead.
Playing with only 11 players and no substitutes, the young roster faced the challenge of competing on a full-size field while many players logged their first full 80-minute match. As fatigue set in during the second half, Wallingford capitalized and pulled away for a 5-3 victory.
Despite the result, NHYS continued to battle until the final whistle and highlighted the night with a spectacular individual goal. Scoring three goals while playing an entire league match without a bench demonstrated the team's skill, resilience, and competitive spirit.
While the season opener ended in a loss, the effort and growth displayed by the squad provided plenty of reasons for optimism as they look ahead to the remainder of the season. Coach and players alike left the field encouraged by the team's performance and excited for what lies ahead.]()

⚽️? What a weekend at MIST! ?⚽️
One of the best parts of the tournament was watching the boys truly enjoy the experience. They brought great energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork from start to finish, embracing every challenge along the way, including a rainy Day 2! ?️?
On the field, they played with skill, heart, and confidence. Their passing stood out all weekend, earning compliments from opposing coaches and showing just how much they're growing as a team.
Most importantly, they're learning to trust each other, play together, and believe in what they can accomplish. MIST was a fantastic step forward for this group, and we're excited to see what comes next!
? Great job, boys! Keep learning, growing, and having fun.]()

?⚽ From Assessment to Champions! ⚽?
The MIST Tournament was our first real test of the fall season, and the boys exceeded every expectation.
Over two days, they battled through tough competition, rain, wind, and challenging conditions to finish undefeated with 3 wins and 1 tie, earning the U13 Division Championship!
What stood out most was their teamwork, resilience, and defensive discipline. The boys defended as a unit, controlled possession, adapted to every challenge, and never stopped competing. Even when games got tough, they stayed composed and found ways to get results.
While we learned plenty about what we need to improve, we also discovered a group that works hard, trusts each other, and is ready to compete.
A huge congratulations to our U13 Boys on an incredible weekend. This is just the beginning! ?⚽?]()
